I initially applied for a training contract with Edwin Coe because of the firm’s size, practice areas and location in the heart of Lincoln’s Inn.
After receiving and accepting my offer and before joining the firm I was invited to a number of Edwin Coe events. This really welcomed me into the firm and certainly made for a more comfortable first day.
During my training contract I undertook seats in Corporate & Commercial, Litigation, Property and Employment. From day one in each of these departments I was expected to undertake high level work and juggle a relatively heavy workload. This certainly was challenging, but undoubtedly ensured that I was ready for qualification.
One of the most noteworthy aspects of the training contract and of the firm in general is the supportive, friendly environment. There truly is an ‘open door’ policy and asking questions, even to the most senior partners, is actively encouraged.
